HOW TO FILM
Self Tapes (auditions) & Profile Videos
RULES FOR FILMING
- Always film in landscape unless specifically instructed otherwise.
- Keep your phone/camera still and at eye level. Frame yourself clearly with your head and chest centred unless the brief asks for something different.
- Use a plain, light background with good natural light facing you — never sit directly in front of a window.
- Keep clothing simple and natural; avoid heavy make-up, patterned clothing or colours that blend into the background.
- No other people, pets or distracting background noise unless the brief requires them.
- Speak clearly, don't rush and use your natural accent unless another accent is requested.
- Do not add music, effects or unnecessary editing unless specifically requested.
- For profile videos,
never state your age or height, as these change and date your video. Always mention
Bizzy Agency in your Ident & 360 Demo. For self tapes, follow the client's instructions.

SELF TAPES — AUDITIONS FILMED AT HOME
Always follow instructions provided by the booker, as every casting is different. Read the brief carefully before filming.
If you are asked to upload your tape through MediaSlide, follow the instructions provided with the casting.
If the client provides an external upload link, follow the instructions given by your booker.
When auditioning for a character, don't be afraid to get into the role — use appropriate clothing or simple props where helpful and, most importantly, enjoy it!
IDENT
Every artist must have a current Ident on their profile.
- Maximum 30–40 seconds.
- Look directly at the camera and speak naturally.
- Give your name, location and “I am represented by Bizzy Agency.”
- Then tell us a little about yourself — keep it brief and natural.
- Do not give your age or height, as these change and will date your video.
- For babies and very young children who cannot speak, a parent can introduce them from behind the camera while the child remains on screen.
See examples below.
360 VIDEO — OPTIONAL BUT RECOMMENDED
Particularly useful for modelling and commercial work. Film a clear full-length view and slowly turn through a complete circle so clients can see your overall appearance and proportions.
See example below.
UPLOADING PROFILE VIDEOS
Upload your Ident and any useful videos showing your acting, accents, dance, singing, sports or other specialist skills directly to the Videos area of your MediaSlide profile.
After uploading profile videos, email
review@BizzyAgency.com
so we know they are waiting for approval.
