Child Performance Licence Documents
If the artist is a child from newborn up to the day they leave compulsory school age, they may require a Child Performance Licence before taking part in certain types of paid work.
It is essential that your licence documents are uploaded as soon as you join the agency.
Having your documents ready in advance means that:
- We can apply for a Child Performance Licence immediately if your child is booked.
- Your child is far less likely to miss out on opportunities due to delays in obtaining paperwork.
- Many clients will only consider children whose licence documents are already in place, as casting deadlines are often extremely short.
The earlier your documents are uploaded, the better prepared we are when opportunities arise.

Once completed, please upload the form together with a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate or Passport.
Who Needs Licence Documents?
Licence documents should be uploaded for every child from newborn up to the day they leave compulsory school age.
If the artist has left compulsory school age, this section no longer applies.
What Documents Do We Need?
Please upload:
- A completed Child Performance Licence application form.
- A copy of the child’s Birth Certificate or Passport (to verify their date of birth).
Some Local Authorities may request additional documentation when we submit a licence application. If this is required, we will contact you.
Where Do I Upload My Documents?
Please log into your Tagmin profile via the Bizzy Agency website.
We strongly recommend using a desktop computer or laptop.
If you are using the Tagmin mobile app or viewing your profile on a mobile phone, some areas of the system are not visible, including the document upload facility.
An iPad or tablet viewed through your internet browser generally works, but for the best experience we recommend using a desktop or laptop.

Although this section is labelled DBS, it is also where Child Performance Licence documents should be uploaded.
Upload both:
- Your completed Child Performance Licence form.
- Your child’s Birth Certificate or Passport.
Why Should I Upload My Documents Now?
Please don’t wait until your child has been offered work.
Many castings are filled very quickly, sometimes within hours.
If your documents are already uploaded, we can begin the licence application immediately if your child is selected.
If the documents are missing, valuable time can be lost gathering paperwork, and in some cases a client may choose another child whose licence documents are already in place.
Being prepared gives your child the best possible chance of securing last-minute opportunities.
Different Local Authorities
Every Local Authority has its own procedures and processing times.
Some councils issue licences very quickly, whilst others can take considerably longer.
Unfortunately, these timescales are completely outside the agency’s control.
We always submit licence applications as quickly as possible, but we cannot influence how long an individual Local Authority takes to process them.
Short-Notice Bookings
The television, film and commercial industry often works to extremely tight deadlines.
Clients sometimes confirm bookings with very little notice.
Although we will always do everything we can to obtain the licence as quickly as possible, there may occasionally be situations where a Local Authority is unable to issue the licence before filming takes place.
Unfortunately, if a Child Performance Licence cannot be issued in time, the child cannot legally take part in the production.
Having your documents uploaded in advance gives us the best possible chance of obtaining the licence within the available timescale.
Keep Your Documents Up to Date
If any of your licence documents change, please upload the updated versions as soon as possible.
Keeping everything current helps avoid unnecessary delays when applying for licences.
